Compañía Naviera Sota y Aznar, Bilbao
Sota y Aznar / Naviera Aznar (Aznar Line)

Ramón Sota and Eduardo Aznar, began a partnership in 1902. The company was formed as Sota y Aznar in Bilbao in 1906, as cargo ship owners.
In 1939 Ramón Sota and Eduardo Aznar split and the company became Naviera Aznar S.A and commenced liner routes to South America, the Caribbean and the U.S.A. At this time, all their ships were renamed MONTE_____.
A new route between the Canary Islands and London started in 1952 and Canaries and Liverpool in 1959. Cruises were started in the 1960s. The company ceased trading in the late 1980s.
